Founder, Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine Specialist
Dr. Byron C. Cotton has provided pediatric care to families across Alabama and Georgia for more than 30 years. A native of Headland, Alabama, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Bethune-Cookman and completed his medical degree at Meharry Medical College. Dr. Cotton trained in Pediatrics at Henry Ford Hospital and later received a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine from the University of Alabama, where he was honored with the CMFDP Postdoctoral Fellowship Award.
Board Certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Dr. Cotton founded Kids & Teens Primary Healthcare in 2006 and continues to teach residents from Atlanta Medical Center and medical students from Emory University. Recognized as one of “Atlanta’s Top Doctors” from 2009 to 2017, he has held clinical appointments with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Egleston Health Care System.
Dr. Cotton’s professional interests include asthma, obesity, and preventive care. Outside the office, he enjoys cycling, hiking, and rock climbing. He is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and strengthening community access to quality pediatric care.
Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Crystal is a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Primary Care, Nurse Practitioner with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mercer University and a Master's degree from Emory University. With 20 years of hands-on experience in pediatrics, she has honed her skills in various settings, including critical care, primary care, school nursing, and clinical education.
Her extensive background includes critical care, primary care, school nursing, and clinical education. She has excelled in high-pressure environments such as Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs), day surgery units, and urgent care settings.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Crystal has taken on leadership roles, mentoring both new and experienced staff members. She is recognized for her calm demeanor under pressure, strong teaching abilities, and unwavering commitment to providing quality care. Her credentials include up-to-date certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Whether leading a team, educating future nurses and nurse practitioners, or providing compassionate care to patients and families, Crystal brings dedication, heart, and a wealth of knowledge to her practice.
Outside of her professional life, Crystal enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and two children in Grant Park.
